Here you will find a list of a few Jazz guitarists which are worth knowing about, and some basic biographical information on each one. I believe that knowing a bit about the people that shaped this genre of music can put a Jazz student into context, and perhaps also inspire him/her to persist in studying. This is by no means a complete list, but I will try to keep adding to it as time goes by.
