Free online Jazz guitar lessons and Jazz theory lessons

Welcome to the Jazz Chameleon. I've created this webpage to make it easier for people who are just starting out in the world of Jazz guitar to make their first steps into this maze.

Here, you will find lessons about chords and their construction, chord substitution (including the famous tritone substitution), chord changes, scales and modes, arpeggios, the bebop scale, improvisation, soloing and comping ideas and techniques, a Jazz dictionary, solo transcriptions and even transcriptions to Jazz standards with backing tracks so you can start playing today. I hope you enjoy the material, it is my purpose to update and add to this page as often as possible, so keep checking back.

Now you can also find short biographies of Jazz guitarists in the "who's who in Jazz guitar" section, so that you can check out influences or a few recommended albums of your favorite Jazz guitarists.

In the Jazz Guitar Forum, you can ask questions about anything jazz related, or even have discussions on anything at all with the other members. Our purpose is to create a big community of Jazz enthusiasts that can help each other become better musicians.
